Farm Assurance Schemes
The farm is a member of a number of assurance schemes run by independent bodies.
These schemes have been established to provide confidence in the food sector and they involve rigorous on farm inspection.
Manor Farm is a member of the following assurance schemes:
• Assured Combinable Crops Scheme
• Assured British Meat Scheme
• Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) Green Farm Programme
• Linking Environment and Farming (Leaf)
• Countryside Stewardship Scheme and environmental stewardship in the Entry Level Scheme
CEVAS - Countryside Educational Visits
Accreditation Scheme
In April 2007 Manor Farm received full accreditation for hosting schools visits. This National scheme has been developed by Access to Farms, DEFRA and Department for Education and Skills. The accreditation has two elements; training for farmers working with children during farm visits and a farm assessment. Accredited farmers are entitled to display this trained personnel logo.
